Goalkeepers

Carel van der Staak has played for H.C. Den Bosch, H.C. Mep, H.C. Oranje Zwart, and the Dutch national team (a total of 63 internationals on the field and in the hall). He is a coach for the first team of Mep men, Orange Black men, Young Orange men, Kampong women, and Nijmegen men. He has also been an assistant coach for the Dutch women's field and indoor hockey team and for the Amsterdam women's team. He has been an FIH Grade coach since 1996. He has worked for the KNHB (Royal Dutch Hockey Federation) since 1977 as a teacher, trainer, and course developer. He provides goalkeeping training for the Dutch women's team, Young Orange women, Dutch Girls A and B, and Dutch Boys B. He has also developed courses for goalkeeping coaches and teaches courses for trainer-coaches, both domestically and internationally.
